Repeat Prescriptions

If you take medication regularly, you will receive a tear-off slip with each prescription, listing the items you have been prescribed for repeat use and the date at which you next need to see  the doctor for review. Please use this slip to request repeat supplies by ticking the items you need and placing it in the ‘drop off’ box for prescription requests at reception.

Most of our patients choose to use the Medigreen pharmacy which is next door to the surgery, and so we send signed prescriptions there for dispensing. If you do not wish to use this chemist, please add a note "keep in surgery" to your prescription request so that you can collect the signed prescription form from the surgery and take it to the chemist of your choice. You can then ask your chosen pharmacy to make themselves your nominated pharmacy for electronic prescriptions.

Repeat prescription requests will not normally be taken by telephone as this can lead to mistakes.  Please allow at least 3 working days before collecting your prescription.

You can also order repeat medication online via the link at the top of this page. If you do not have online access, simply pop in to the surgery to complete an online access request form for your User ID and Password.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or nurse practitioner at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
