I trained at University College Hospital, and worked at hospitals and in General Practice in London before joining Caddington Surgery in 1994. I love working here! As the Senior Partner, it is my job to see that we give the best possible care to all our patients in a welcoming atmosphere. I am also a GP trainer, responsible for helping GP Registrars to become fully qualified GPs. I am married with two daughters at university. I enjoy music, mountains and water sports.

I qualified from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London in 1981. I am married to Mr Griffiths, Consultant at the L&D; we have two sons. I like to unwind by working in my garden.

I worked in hospitals and General Practice in inner London before joining Caddington Surgery in 1998. I am married with three children. I enjoy singing, cycling, swimming, art and my involvement with our local church.

I have been working as a GP locum since 2000 - including in Caddington and joined as a partner on 1st March 2005. My special interests are in ENT and Family Planning Outside work I enjoy playing in a local orchestra, singing in the church choir, walking and swimming.

GP Registrar

From time to time have a GP Registrar working with us. A Registrar is a fully qualified doctor with several years' hospital experience, who spends up to a year working in the surgery in order to become a fully qualified GP.

Locums on occasions other doctors work with us when our own doctors are unavailable.

Denise Madden is a highly qualified Nurse Practitioner, a registered nurse who has undertaken several years of extra training so that she can see patients of all ages during health or illness. You may choose to consult her about any medical problem. She works closely alongside the doctors, and is qualified to: take medical histories, perform examinations and organise tests diagnose and treat common health problems such as minor illnesses and minor injuries, diagnose, treat and monitor long term problems such as diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure, provide family planning advice, and explain details of medications, give health information and advice, and explore people's worries about their health and health care needs.

Lisa Jones is a practice nurse providing general nursing care and helps support our Community Matron.

Health Care Assistant/ Phlebotomist

Denise has passed her NVQ 2 in Health Care Assistance. This means that she can do ECGs, spirometry, phlebotomy, Blood Pressure checks and New Patient Health Checks - please make an appointment to see her if you need these doing. She helps cover the anticoagulant clinic and is also trained in smoking cessation. So if you are thinking about stopping smoking, please book to see her to discuss it!

Our Reception team received special recognition for their courtesy and helpfulness in a recent local patients survey.

They are the public face of the practice, dealing with appointments and all enquiries from patients.

They also do a great deal of administrative and computer work behind the scenes and have a variety of different skills and roles.
